Chocolate Shoes: Realistic Nike Air Max Sneakers Carved From Chocolate

Nike Air Max sneakers have been popular for a long time, and many people would say they’ve set the standard for athletic shoes. I have a pair that I wear when I ride my bike, and they are as reliable now as they were a few years ago when I bought them. Some people love their sneakers more than the average person though. I would have to guess that designer Joost Goudriaan is one of those people since he created these incredibly detailed chocolate shoes in honor of the Nike Air Max.

He wasn’t paid to create these, and he apparently just did it for fun since he and so many of his friends love their sneakers. I am amazed at the detail in these chocolate shoes. The laces and the stitching looks perfect, but check out the leather. That is all chocolate, but it looks just like worn leather on a real pair of shoes. Even the chocolate shoe’s sole is exactly like a real pair of Nike Air Max. Incredible.

The milk chocolate shoes are definitely the best ones, but I put a few pictures of his white chocolate prototype below for you to see too. It has a dark chocolate sole, and in my opinion, looks a bit less realistic (maybe because of the color contrast).

I don’t know if these chocolate shoes are hollow or solid chocolate, but either way, I would love to have a pair. Can you imagine getting these shoes in a shoebox just like any other pair? It would be a very special gift for a Nike Air Max lover. You’d open the box and get a very sweet surprise. Too bad they aren’t for sale anywhere. I can only imagine how long it took to carve these. Great job, Joost!
