Superhero Lunchbox Paper Napkins Designed By A Mom For Her Children

Just a couple days ago, I wrote about a father who has been doodling on his kids’ lunchbox sandwich bags almost every day since 2008. It’s become a special tradition in their family, and he’s uploaded over 1,000 of his sandwich bag designs to flickr. You can read more about that at Sandwich Bag Lunchbox Doodles. Today I’d like to share with you a mother who draws on her kids’ lunchbox paper napkins. These are spectacular, and I’m sure her children will remember them for a lifetime.

Nina Levy is a superhero mom, so it seems appropriate that she would inspire her children’s lunchtime with her superhero drawings on paper napkins. She creates each one with colorful ink, and I can only image how long it takes her to draw one of these. You’ll notice in some of the drawings that instead of the carrying weapons, the characters carry fruit.

Nina started creating these paper napkins for her kids in 2007. She uses whatever they are into at the moment (based on their conversations), as inspiration for each one. She has created a few thousand of these napkin designs, and she started uploading them to share in 2011. She has around 600 posted on her blog called Daily Napkins.

While doing some research about Nina and her paper napkin drawings, I also stumbled across another mom who doodles on napkins. You can check those out at Napkin Log. After seeing what these parents do to inspire their children during their school day, I suddenly feel like the lunches I make for my son (with a sandwich, a banana and grapes) are quite lame. These children are all very blessed to have such wonderful parents who use their artistic talent to brighten their lives. How special!
