8 Unusual Little Tips & Tricks To Help You Fall Asleep

Do you need some tricks to help you fall asleep? If you are like me, you have a love/hate relationship with sleep. My internal clock is all messed up, and I’m convinced my body doesn’t know the difference between day and night. For a few years, I’ve been getting up at 3:00am every day to start working, but for the past month, I’ve been getting up at 2:30am instead. I usually have trouble falling asleep, so I don’t sleep much. About once a month when my body can’t take it anymore, I’ll sleep for 12 or 13 hours straight. It’s a vicious, unhealthy cycle, but it’s the way I live my life. If you need something to help you fall asleep like I do, this is for you.

If you have some form of insomnia, you are not alone. Sleep problems are more common than you may realize, and they are probably more common now than ever before. The reason I say that is because now that social media is mainstream, we are connecting with people all over the world. In this new age of global business, there are no time zones. I know for me, regardless of what time it is, there are people waiting for me to reply to emails around the clock. If my body didn’t require sleep, I would never do it.

There are all kinds of things you can do to help you fall asleep. When I found this little chart on WonderHowTo with 8 unusual ways to help you fall asleep, it made me smile. I’ve tried the “scrunch up your toes” thing before, and it works. I’ve also tried listening to music or sleep podcasts, but those dang earbuds always hurt my ears when I sleep with them in, so I don’t do that much. I normally drink tea at night, but after reading this, I’m going to have to try some cherry juice. I hope you find these ideas useful, and more than that, I hope this helps you get a good night’s sleep tonight! If all else fails, take an Ambien. That was a joke! Kidding! Don’t do that. It will make you sleep for like a week.
