What Your Handwriting Style Says About Your Personality [Infographic]

I don’t know about you, but I hardly ever write anymore. Every once in a while I’ll use handwriting when I’m taking notes on a Bit Rebels conference call, but for the most part, I don’t write anymore with a pen and paper. Handwriting is quickly becoming an art of the past. It’s a shame really because writing is such an individualized way to artistically express words. Do you know what your handwriting says about you?

I didn’t know until today that the way we write our letters gives people a glimpse into over 5,000 personality traits. I touched on this topic a year ago when I wrote an article called What Your Handwriting Reveals About Your Personality, but today we are getting into the nitty-gritty of it all. If you’ve ever watched those crime shows or movies, you’ve probably seen a handwriting analysis where the detective looks at the size, looping and slant of a person’s handwriting to determine certain things.

This infographic called What Does Your Handwriting Say About You? by National Pen goes into some serious handwriting specifics. Who would have ever known that the way we cross our Ts and dot our Is would reveal so much about our personalities? That’s not all either. According to this infographic, your handwriting can give clues about your health and energy levels too. It’s also interesting that “Handwriting that is bunched up, moved out of alignment, or otherwise different from the rest of the writing indicates a lie.”

I alternate between my right and left hand when I write, and the handwriting from each hand looks very different. I wonder what that means. If you want to test your own handwriting, just naturally write a paragraph on a piece of paper and then compare it to what this infographic says. Is it correct? Is what your handwriting says about you true?
