Words With Cookies: Scrabble Inspired Cookie Designs

My favorite board game is Scrabble. It always has been. It’s the only board game I’ve ever had that actually looks old from being played so much. It’s truly a classic that never goes out of style. You know you are a Scrabble addict when you look up all the words on the Internet that start with the letter Q but don’t require a U, or all the highest point words ever recorded that have been played on a triple word. Yeah, I’ve been there and done all that. To this day, I don’t like Words with Friends since it just isn’t the same.

When I saw these scrabble inspired cookies, I knew I had to share them with you. They are so much fun, and if you cut your dough squares small enough, you can even play Scrabble with them on your game board. Just remember if you want to do that, you’ll have to make 100 cookies to make a full set of letters (shown here). Of course, I don’t even have to tell you, these were created by Erica at Sweet Tooth. She is the most creative baker I’ve seen in a long time, and I’ve written about her several times before.

If you would like to make these yourself, please click over to Erica’s post, Words with Cookies, for all the details. To me, it seems like the hardest part would be getting all the Scrabble tile cookies to be the exact same size. Erica took her inspiration from this older post on Bake at 350 which also has some fun ideas for how to put this together perfectly. The rules are, the Scrabble champion gets to eat all the cookies. Nah… I’ll share.
