Founder’s Dictionary: Words Entrepreneurs Should Know [Infographic]

If you have ever found yourself at the right end of a brilliant idea that has turned into a company, you know there is a certain lingo going on. You might not understand it instantly, but if you have been in the game for a while, you know there are certain things that mean certain things. I know that doesn’t make much sense, but there are phrases and words that might not nudge you in the direction of perfect understanding. The language used by founders is often filled with words synonymous with whole endeavors and undertakings, which to someone outside those experiences, might not even make sense.

If you are one of those people who doesn’t quite get the lingo amongst the founders out there, this Founder’s Dictionary should come in mighty handy. It’s published by Udemy and designed by Column Five Media. It is something of a little jokester infographic. The language used on Twitter, for example, can be hard to understand and the language used by hackers (programmers) might seem unearthly to someone who doesn’t spend their days in the matrix code.

I must admit when I first saw the title of this infographic, I was a little bit intrigued. What was this whole new lingo they were talking about? As it turns out, it’s all about the laugh of the day really. However, some of these touch reality and hint towards the actual meanings. So, I guess this could be really useful if you like learning through researching. I mean, you would have to pay close attention to what is said to make sure you know exactly what it really means. I have to admit it is a really good way to actually learn instead of just reading through something and then forgetting about it in an instant. My final judgement of this infographic would probably be… it’s learning by having fun.
