Hoop Tracker: The Smartwatch That Will Improve Your Basketball Skills

There are so many niche smartwatches that are available now or will be available soon. It started out that they were mostly designed for fitness, but now there is seemingly no end to what some of them can do. I think someday shopping for a smartwatch will be like shopping for a camera or TV. In other words, there will be so many different choices, and they’ll all have different features. This smartwatch helps you improve your basketball skills.

When I first read about this, I thought it sounded gimmicky. But now that I’ve looked into it more, I think it’s quite brilliant. If you’ve ever played basketball, you know the only way to improve is to practice. The more you practice, the more you’ll improve your basketball skills, and the more valuable you’ll be for your team.

It can be tough to measure your progress though. Aside from counting how many shots you make, is there any other way to track your improvement? Now there is, and it’s with this Hoop Tracker smartwatch (which will be available for $200 beginning February 2014).

This smartwatch will help you improve your basketball skills by recording the make or miss of every shot in real time. You can view your stats in percentages, points or ratios. You can even review each session since the blinking ball on the screen indicates your location for each shot. You can also take it one step further by uploading your stats into the website for a more in-depth analysis of your progress (including strengths and weaknesses). According to the website, Hoop Tracker is the world’s first automatic shot tracking basketball watch. It provides real-time 3P, FT and FG percentages. What a great idea for a smartwatch.
