The world is seemingly getting more weird every day that goes by. From the perspective of unusual art and creations, this is quite normal. However, when it comes to the technology and innovation we see presented to us, things are just heading for weirdland. When Siri came out, a lot of people asked themselves why they would every need a personal assistant in the form of a digital voice. But, as time progressed, more and more people picked up the feature and actually found it to be quite useful… and cool. The answers were to the point, and you didn’t have to touch the screen or type anything at all in order to find the stuff you searched for. Well, almost anyways.
In Icons, a company that seems to adjust their gears to follow the urge of people, recently announced that they are in the process of marketing an immensely lifelike 1-foot Steve Jobs figurine. The “doll” is supposedly so lifelike that it actually looks like you’re looking at a real miniature Steve Jobs. I guess this thing is aimed at the hardcore fans of Steve (and there a lot of them out there), and it is meant to sit (or stand) on your desk like a surveying mentor to keep you aggressively focused on making a change.
I guess it is just a matter of time before we will see lifelike robots of Steve Jobs popping up around the world too. They are getting quite lifelike, and they could have a lot of purposes. It seems a Steve Robot would be a good start somehow. Maybe that would be the one thing to keep Apple’s stock hitting the ceiling each and every day. Who knows, with the speed technology is progressing, it wouldn’t be such a weird keynote, right? I do have to admit that having a lifelike “doll” of Steve Jobs around would be just a little bit freaky… Now the question is, will Apple ban this creation as well?
