Mazda Envisions Creating Their Future Car Today

Cars are the mode of transportation that keep our butts moving from point A to B in a more personal way than using public transportation.  However, we’ve grown quite aware that using gas is no where near what we should be using to transport ourselves, and we’re slowly making progress in that area.  But what we don’t think about too often is that the more your car weighs, the more pollution it will put into the atmosphere, or at least that’s the theory.  This simple equation leads to an argument that will push the car industry to rethink their future strategy today.  There is no waiting and there is absolutely no reason why they wouldn’t be able to create those cars today.

Mazda is one of the visionaries in the industry when it comes to creating new concepts for their future cars with the one requirement – that it must be able to be created today.  It’s a bold statement, but Mazda seems to have solved a piece of the puzzle by creating and developing the Mazda MX-0.

It’s a new bold design idea of a car that weighs less than 1,000 pounds, yet still packs a punch as far as being comfortable and useful.  The look alone is a reason why even I would buy it if it ever were to be mass produced, but as with all of these concepts, you never know.  Sometimes an idea is way too bold for the current day and will instead be postponed until the future.  However, there is no doubt that we’ll see cars like this in the very near future, or at least I am really hoping so!
