Nissan Enters The Wearable Technology Market With Nismo Smartwatch

More companies are entering the smartwatch market, and now it’s Nissan’s turn. Market analysts are saying the smartwatch market could be huge if manufacturers can pinpoint what features customers want. An auto manufacturer entering the smartwatch market is not a surprise considering a smartwatch would increase the interaction with the vehicles they build. After watching Nissan’s promotional video for the Nismo, I am certain they are going to make an impact.

Their main focus is to incorporate the driver into the car and make sure you know at all times what’s going on with the car. Nissan has managed to make Nismo into a flawless wristband smartwatch that will present you your top speed, average speed and fuel efficiency among other things. Before you start getting excited, you should know that the Nismo smartwatch will only be made for Nissan’s high performance cars.

In addition to keeping you in the loop about what’s going on with your car, you will also be able to broadcast your results and stats to any of the leading social media networks. The Nismo smartwatch will also present you with weather conditions to make sure your driving is perfectly in tune with it. When the time comes for service, the car will interface with your watch and alert you so you can service your car.

As a high end sports car owner, you of course want to know how you are interfacing with the performance of the car. So, it will also present you with your own heart rate. When you have broadcasted your performances and statistics on the social media networks, the Nismo smartwatch will also alert you of any incoming messages or replies.

There’s no doubt the Nismo smartwatch is a great addition to the growing market of smartwatches. The fact that Nissan has been able to build it and present it in the smartwatch market’s infancy is probably something that is going to benefit their position in the smartwatch market in the future. Just make sure you don’t use the watch to drive recklessly or to drive over your capabilities. Not only is that dangerous for you, but for the drivers around you as well.
