R2-D2 Custom Coffee Maker Doubles Up The Smiles

The assumption that everything geek has to be packaged in the weirdest forms of paper and string is not something that we here at Bit Rebels support at all. Something geeky for us is something that has substance enough to make even the toughest breath become infinitely easier. It’s something that will turn your everyday life into a visual, inspirational or even technological adventure. It’s difficult and dangerous to label things in today’s fast pace world of trends since they will most likely go out of style before you have even finished your declaration of just why you labeled them at all. But when it comes to Star Wars, anything is allowed to be called geeky.

This is especially true when that thing is something that will combine its very core DNA with something that you can actually use in real life. The creator of the R2-D2 Coffee Machine is someone who we know shares the same mindset. He goes by the name of iminthebathroom on Instructables, and he is the clever mind behind something that I think will become a cherished memory for a lot of Star Wars fans out there.

In a step by step tutorial, this ultimate fan gadget is brought to life seemingly out of pure inspiration. By taking a BUNN industrial coffee maker and making a few customizations, adjustments and alterations, this coffee maker becomes worthy of any Jedi in our immediate galaxy. Never have I come across something that will double up the morning smile like this thing will. Not only is it all about Star Wars, and R2-D2 in particular, but it also brews about double the coffee that a normal “family” sized coffee maker would brew. If that isn’t a match gone right, I don’t know what is. Can a customization get any more brilliant? I think not. It gets a 5 pot rating from us here at Bit Rebels!
