I know from experience that SD and flash cards can be quite a handful to carry around, and it’s easy to lose them if you’re not careful. Some people have fancy boxes and storage containers to house their cards, but for me, that’s not exactly a necessity since I store most of my mobile data on my small 250GB external drive. It fits in my back pocket, and all I need is a short USB cable to hook up it up to anything. But if you’re one of those that carries around cards that would probably fill the outer pockets of your backpack, then it is of course time to look into some alternative storage possibilities. However, what will hold 10+ cards and still be small enough to be comfortable to carry around? As it turns out, designer Peng Qixuan has an idea worth looking into.
It’s the Logo Reader (aka the “Card Reader” a simple name is sometimes the best way to roll…) that will change your pocketing habits. It houses more than 10+ card slots and sizes that vary from old school to new or however you want to label them. Since memory cards get smaller by the minute, I think it’s time to retrofy the larger ones by naming them correctly.
All you have to do to connect your cards, all of them, is to hook up the Logo Reader to a computer or some other device sporting a USB port, and your data on all of the cards will become available for you to browse, move and alter. The cool thing about this gadget is that it takes out one step in the chain, which is the loading and unloading the cards one by one. This totally makes mobile data carrying a whole lot easier.
