Schools Turn Kids Into Geeks With Classroom Technologies [Infographic]

I find the topic of technologies in our schools quite fascinating. I don’t think anyone can deny the fact that the world is revolving more and more around technology. The way we implement gadgets and devices into our everyday lives is increasing in speed, and that’s just how it is. It’s a good thing too since it helps us optimize our lives more which gives us time for other things. The topic of classroom technologies in particular is quite interesting since it involves the technofication of future generations.

Just like with Star Wars and Star Trek, there are two camps of opposite opinions. For example, there are parents who refuse to let their children use a smartphone before a certain age, and then there are parents who want their kids to use one seemingly as soon as they are capable of holding one. Whether either one of those is a good or a bad thing depends on your individual preference. We all individually choose what we think is best for our children, and by all means that is how it’s supposed to be.

But when it comes to classroom technologies, we’re talking about ensuring our kids good jobs and integration into society when they get older. One can’t simply hide from the fact that pretty much every industry and every business is in some way connected and run by technology. The fact that schools have started to implement classroom technologies is a good thing that will allow our children to become familiar with it, which will lead to them having a better chance of finding what kind of profession might suit them when they grow up.

Anyone who says that classroom technologies such as computers, projectors, digital boards and whatnot, are a bad thing really needs to get a closer view at what society looks like and requires people to understand. It will give our children a chance at competing with all the computer wiz kids around the world today. Don’t get me wrong, classroom technologies are a different breed when compared to our ordinary smartphones and laptops, but they are not too far away from the interactivity all of these devices enable.

On a positive note, as many as 87% of parents think that effective implementation of technology in the classroom is important. Compared to a few years ago, this number is insanely high. We can delve more into these technologies if we have a look at a fresh infographic from Top Masters In Education (design by NowSourcing). The infographic called Classroom Technology: Turning Our Children Into Geeks is a great infographic which will give you a better overview of what the state of classroom technologies really is. Their purpose is to give our children the ability to immerse themselves into the virtual world within boundaries. It’s the kind of knowledge that will always be at their disposal, no matter what happens.
