Its Saturday night and you don’t feel like partying, you simply just want to watch a good movie with popcorn and other yummy goodies! But it seems the most frustrating thing is not knowing what to watch. What makes you want to see a movie? Is it because of the reviews, is it because of the trailer or because your friends and family have made the recommendation? Personally, most of the time, I get intrigued first by the trailer and the reviews and most importantly because of the way I feel. Well, now there is a cool site Jinni! Your Taste engine for TV and movie shows.
Films inspire them. Obsess. Puzzle. Delight. That’s what they think – and that’s why they started Jinni. Because the usual keywords and genres don’t even try to capture the meaty stories and heady experiences of film, and so they’re not much use when choosing what to see next.
Jinni is a Taste Engine. It looks at film through the lens of what makes you love or hate anything you watch. With a Taste Engine, you don’t search by what you’re looking for, you search by what you like. And recommendations are based on analyzing your preferences, not statistics.
Jinni is powered by the Movie Genome, a big, ongoing project with the Jinni community to describe video more complexly. Using proprietary semantic technology, a Jinni search takes you inside plot, mood, style and more – for search that reflects how we think and talk about movies.
I included a video demo of how it works. Watch it and I hope the next time you want to watch a movie, you will have a fun time choosing the movie or TV show to watch.
