Functional Wooden NES Controller Coffee Table Available For $3,700

There have been quite a few magnificently geeky coffee tables created over the years. We have featured a load of them here on Bit Rebels. They are usually made to connect with the Nintendo NES console. It’s like everyone wants to add their own little gadget to this legendary retro game console. It’s quite fun too! How can you not want to play Super Mario one more time, over and over again? Well, this time around, it’s a special NES controller that is the focus.

It’s actually a functional wooden Nintendo NES controller coffee table (try saying that fast). It’s a custom build that might just make you the coolest kid (or adult) on your street. It’s created by Etsy seller BohemianWorkshop and is a work of art. It’s completely made out of wood apart from the electronics (naturally), and the glass top that makes it the centerpiece of the room. The NES controller itself is made from maple, mahogany and walnut with dovetail joinery and mid-century modern legs. It measures 42″ length x 18.25″ width x 18″ height. That should give you an idea of just how awesome this badboy is.

Don’t expect it will follow you home cheap though – it’s currently available for $3,700.00. It could possibly make you the hot spot for all gamers alike. You simply connect your wooden NES controller to your Nintendo NES base station and start playing. It’s a great NES controller if you want to play co-op. You most likely will have to since the controller is so large that reaching each button on it is almost a feat in itself. Once you have gotten the hang of it, you will have hours of fun, I am sure. When you’re done, you just have to lift the glass top back on and you can chillax with a cup of coffee on one of the most epically geek coffee tables in existence. Add this to your list of gadgets that you will most likely never own. The price tag alone is probably going to keep most people from hooking up with one of these. Too sad!
