World’s Largest Game Boy Advanced Controller

Just a few years ago, the technology industry was all about making everything as small as possible. Nowadays it seems everyone is trying to make the most badass and largest recreation of something that once was original in size. It’s quite interesting really since the things that get recreated are usually retro things from our beloved childhood. I think we’ve pretty much reached the end of a cycle here at Bit Rebels when it comes to writing about bigatures of normal technologies. It seems everyone wants coffee tables in the form of… well, everything really. There’s certainly no shortage of ideas when it comes to these bigatures.

When everything but the Game Boy has been biggified, I guess we could have all expected it to be the next target. And to some extent, it was because this time around it is an arcade controller for the Game Boy Advanced that will put your whole gaming experience at stake. It is called The Arcade Table Top controller and is developed and designed by Toy & Television Games. If you think that you will beat your friends by the sheer power of this thing, I think you need to reconsider.

It will take quite some getting used to in order to operate this mad thing. If you actually have lengthy enough arms to control both the stick and the buttons at the same time, I will be quite impressed. This is not to mention the coordination required for any kind of good result in, for example, Super Mario. I guess that’s the whole point, if you can manage this thing then you are bound to be badass and probably deserve to be called that as well. However, don’t go thinking this thing is mobile in any way, it’s a bigature and has that name for a reason.
