World’s Most Innovative Countries [Infographic]

Here we are, facing another year, and we all want to make a greater impact whether it is in our own lives or globally. The constant strive to be better is what sets you apart from the rest. Surely it doesn’t matter if it is some epic scale innovation you come up with, or just a personality fix. You will make an impact if you start, progress and never give up. It’s like Coldplay sings, “Just because I am lost, it doesn’t mean I’ll stop;” however, I would like to add to that and say “Just because I’m lost, it doesn’t mean I’ll stop, it doesn’t mean I’m without cause.” So, as innovation marches forward at an ever greater pace, we can still be part of a history so far untold.

However, one question remains, and that is, how do you measure success? Is it the amount of money you have, the number of lives you’ve impacted, or the way you keep proving that everything is possible? No one seems to be able to answer that question. In an attempt to crown the most innovative countries in the world, Good and Column Five have put together an infographic that bases success on pure facts.

By measuring the number of filed patents, their successes, and their global impact, they have been able to create a list of countries that seem to be pushing the world’s innovation forward. To no one’s surprise, the U.S. is at the top much thanks to Apple and Boeing of course. I was very happily surprised to find Sweden to be the fourth most innovative country in the world with our just under 10 million citizens. Congrats to the people of the United States of America, you’re doing a great job! Congrats to all you others as well of course!
