Look ma, no hands! Technically this is called Extreme Jaccuzzing. This group of adrenaline seeking adventurists had to add an extra “c” in the word Jacuzzi for legal reasons. I got a rush just from looking at these pictures; I can’t even imagine what this must have been like!
It all started back in 2001 when two brothers made a homemade Jacuzzi, hung it on the side of a mountain, and got in it to relax. Hmm… When you think of it that way, it seems normal, right? Well, maybe not, but just go with it. Now, a decade later, they’ve formed an official Extreme Jaccuzzing Association full of people who want to sit in a hot tub in places where nobody has ever soaked before.
This particular mission was when the group set up a homemade Jacuzzi over the side and 187m below the Gueuroz bridge in western Switzerland. I tried to position the pictures in a progression so you could get a feel for the whole process. I’m not trying to be a smartass, but what’s the purpose of the helmets? I mean, if you fall from that high up, is a helmet really going to help? The more I look at these pictures, the more I think I might try it. Of course, I would only do it if I was wearing a parachute. I’ve heard of people getting in a hot tub naked but never with a parachute. Maybe I could start a new trend. You can see more pictures and learn more about this extreme sport on jaccuzzi.ch.
