I think most people have at one time had the idea of doing something that could potentially change their lives. It could have been the idea of starting a company, losing weight or just changing old habits that have been keeping them from feeling good. It’s always an inspiring thought, but most people find something that will keep them from realizing their idea. The reasons could of course be many. However, no reason is good enough to keep you from realizing your dreams. There are always obstacles, no matter what you want to do. The thing is, the way the world works is that it’s not supposed to be that easy. Usually it’s our own thoughts that keep us away from our dreams. In order to change that, there are some things you could consider that would guarantee a great 2013.
It’s quite common that we come up with a million reasons why something just won’t work. It’s also the one thing that is the difference between dreamers and successful people. Of course, the definition of success is an individual preference. Thinking you can is really the only thought pattern you need to succeed. It will most likely not be easy or quick, but with persistence and dedication, humans have yet to come across anything they cannot do. It boils down to whether or not we have the energy, will and skills to accomplish it. Inhale the dedication to create a great 2013. All of these things can be acquired, no matter what. So when you think about it, it’s really just you who is the biggest obstacle when trying to realize a dream.
I have quickly realized that this has become a pep talk of sorts instead of a “how-to” article. Well, to be fair, those two things are pretty much the same. I don’t like the idea of limits, at least when it comes to what a human can achieve. If you can dream it, you can achieve it. That has always been the mindset of people who have attempted the impossible and succeeded. It’s never a question about IF it is possible. It is always HOW it is possible. How do you put yourself in the mindset that you can achieve anything your heart desires and through that create a great 2013?
It can all be condensed down to 10 simple mindsets which will lead your life into a great 2013. They were actually compiled by Marc as a tribute to Stephen Covey who passed away in 2012 (author of the best selling book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People). It’s a great reminder for why positive thinking is so important in order to succeed. It would be easy to adapt this to business or any kind of competition. There are so many areas which this can be utilized that I am not even going to try to list them all.
If you can remember these (print them out if you have to), there is no doubt you will create a great 2013 for yourself. You might already incorporate some of them into your lifestyle. It’s when you adapt the full spectrum of these mindsets that you will really have yourself a great 2013. In all honesty, this should be printed and put up on everyone’s wall or fridge to be a reminder just how “easy” it is to create a successful and great 2013 out of any dream or situation.
This compiled list (called 10 Things You Must Give Up To Move Forward In 2013) has a lot of great reminders that will ensure you a great 2013. It should be easy to learn and remember. Of course, the hard part is implementing them into your every day life. I guess that is part of the challenge of being successful. Maybe my own little saying could help you create a great 2013. I say it to myself every year in order to remind myself that time is our most valuable asset. I will end this article with that saying and hope that you will create yourself a kickass and great 2013. Hopefully this article will put a little inspiration into your thought pattern and make a difference, even if just a little one.
