It has been a little over 2 years since Steve Jobs passed away, but his legacy is as strong as ever. The Apple brand is marginally less impressive now than it was during his reign, which says a lot about his ability to motivate people while alive and even now that he’s no longer here to share his ideas. I think there are a lot of people who miss his energetic presentations and keynotes. However, Steve Jobs is still very much around, but now he’s an insanely lifelike wax figure.
There’s no doubt that Steve Jobs is one of our time’s most prolific and influential individuals, regardless of whether you like his work or not. He has also changed the course of history when it comes to technology. When we think of Steve Jobs, we unintentionally think about Apple, but he has a lot more successes under his belt than that. Who better would deserve a spot in the permanent spotlight over at Madame Tussauds Wax Cabinet than Steve Jobs?
If you never had the chance to meet Steve Jobs in real life, all you need to do is to head to Bangkok (or any of the other locations) and snap a couple of photos with him as a wax figure. The fact that it’s more than insanely lifelike doesn’t exactly take away from the eerie feeling that he’s still around thinking up new concepts that might unravel the very expectations we have about Apple and technology in general.
I’m unsure how long the wax figure of Steve Jobs will still be viewable since about a year ago, another company wanted to manufacture and release an ultra realistic Steve Jobs action figure. The Steve Jobs estate and Apple had other thoughts and put annihilating pressure on the company, and they withdrew their plans quickly. My hunch is that this particular homage to Steve Jobs will rub the estate as well as Apple in a good way. I do reserve the right to be wrong about that.
