Oh exercise. It’s one of those things where you just don’t know if you really want to do it or not but are glad you did once it’s done. I mean, let’s face it. It can be a hassle to have to get off your comfy couch, put on some tight workout clothes and get motivated. It becomes even harder when you aren’t even looking forward to the activity and you think working out is boring.
This is why I’ve compiled a list of ways to exercise that can be engaging, fun and help you actually look forward to working out.

1. Do CrossFit
If you like high intensity and high adrenaline activities CrossFit is a great way to go about that. CrossFit is a combination of high-intensity sports that can help you get fit and burn fat in a fast paced way. It is strength training with a specific regimen and reps that you follow and add to once you build your strength.
2. Engage In Yoga
Yoga isn’t only challenging and fun, it can be relaxing too! One of the perks is that once you’ve gained practice with it, you can show off your awesome balancing skills to your friends. Aside from that, yoga has been shown to improve cardiovascular health and lean muscle formation. It can also be so much fun to do with a group of friends or a significant other at a local park or even in your backyard.
3. Join A Bike Club
Biking outside with a group of people that enjoy it is much better as opposed to biking by yourself in a smelly gym. An additional upside is that local bike rental can be relatively cheap if you don’t own your own bike.
There are only positives to biking, as you discover new routes in your area, breathe in the fresh air, and get lean as you bike your way to a better lifestyle and body. Exercise like biking can also lead to better sleep and a sharper mind. Who would say no to having fun, reducing stress levels, and losing fat in the process?
4. Join A Dance Class
This is hands down probably the most fun out of the whole list. Joining a dance class not only pays off in the huge amounts of calories you burn but also in the lasting friendships you can make in the process. Taking a 30-50 minute dance class at least once a week helps get your blood pumping at puts you in a more positive and happier state of mind as your endorphins start spreading throughout.
To add to the fun, you can even add your own cool dance gear to express your personality. You can always visit https://www.justforkix.com/accessories to get more inspiration and ideas.
5. Learn To Swim
Swimming! Any water sport, really, is a great pastime that can bring great benefit to your health and well-being. It’s a great calorie burner and can also greatly help in building muscle strength and overall lung and heart health. Swimming is a lot more fun exercise than having to spend hours in a hot and sweaty gym.
There are thousands of ways to make working out fun and worthwhile. The trick is motivating yourself enough to be able to get there. Try out each activity yourself and see which one sticks the most. Then make it a routine for you to follow on a daily or weekly basis.
