You guys should know by now that I am a huge horror movie fanatic. I find the genre to be highly pumped with adrenaline, and I don’t think there is a movie within the genre that I haven’t seen. My favorite has always been Friday The 13th franchise; however, I like the middle movies better then the early and late ones. They’ve given Jason Voorhees such lame characteristics lately which really bums me out. The last movie was somewhat a little better, but not even close to the ones that were released during the late 80s and early 90s. I also like Halloween of course. It’s another brilliant white knuckle movie franchise that has actually gotten better and better with time.
I find it interesting that Michael Myers snatches the top spot on the list of the most popular villains. I have always thought that the Xenomorph (Alien) is the best horror character ever conceived in a horror flick. And of course, I think Jason Voorhees comes second; however, apparently that’s not what the general population thinks. I find it awesome that Darth Vader is on the list. After all, he is such a cult villain to a lot of people. Besides, he is probably the one making the most dough out of the whole list.
How would you rank these movies? Is there possibly someone missing from the list? Having a look at this infographic compiled with information from all over the place (see bottom of infographic for more details) gives me the urge to dust off all the Friday The 13th movies and go for a marathon. A bowl of popcorn, candy and Coca Cola would make for a royal fright night for sure. Hmm, it sounds like my vacation has some elements all figured out.
