I’m in the mood to throw a Star Wars party for all my Twitter friends. Wouldn’t that be fun? If only I could teleport all of us to the same room, heck, even the same country, we could make it happen. I read an article once about a guy who traveled all around the world to visit the friends he made on Twitter, and ever since then, I’ve always thought that would be such a fun thing to do. It’s officially on my bucket list.
If we were going to have one big Star Wars party, what kind of food would we serve? I went on a hunt for Star Wars inspired party foods, and I found so many neat things out there. I decided to include them all in one post. I had to set some guidelines to narrow my selections.
I decided that in order to be considered, it had to actually be party food we might set on a table and serve at our Star Wars Twitter party. That means this huge AT-AT made out of bacon (nom nom), this Han Solo in guacamole (Guac Solo), and the dead Tauntaun wedding cake (which makes me gag) were automatically disqualified since they aren’t foods you would find on a table at a party. Now that we have our criteria set, I think I found some geektastic Star Wars party foods we could serve at our party. Check these out, and let me know what you think!
Vader Pataters & Carbonite Jell-O
Oh yeah baby, it doesn’t get any better than this. Of course, all of these creations came from Just Jenn Recipes.
Darth Vader Party Toast – The Dark Side Of Breakfast
This comes to you directly from Star Wars. #want
R2-D2 Cheddar Cheese Carving
For some reason, when some people think of R2-D2, they think about cheese. Go figure. The second picture below shows Dan from Ordering Disorder carving a cheddar cheese R2-D2. Looks yummy to me!
Okay, I admit, I just put this cheese carving in the mix to see if you were paying attention. It’s freaking awesome though, isn’t it? I found it on R2-D2’s Whatever Blog. #pacmanftw
Geeky Star Wars Pizzas
Portrait pizzas are actually pretty common these days in the artistic foodie community. The most recent one we featured was the William and Kate Pizza. I love it much better though with this Star Wars geekiness added.
AT-AT Cake Complete With Ewok Cupcakes
I think this AT-AT cake is just the cutest thing ever. It’s the Ewok cupcakes lining the side that really add that extra touch. You can learn more about this cake on Bride Pop.
Yodamole and Trooper Scoopers
Jill at Kitchen Fun with My Three Sons created all of these goodies below. Brilliant!
