1. Get Creative In The Kitchen

Many entrepreneurs like to forget about work by cooking up a storm. If you enjoy nice food then why not have a go at making some? Cakes can be fun to make but if you have a recipe you want to try out or go a cook book for your birthday then your day off could be a great day to get creative in the kitchen.

2. Watch A Movie

A good flick can really help you wind down and forget about work and get lost in the story. You could go to the cinema and make a night of it or just put on some comfortable clothes and snuggle up on the sofa.  Fortunately, you don’t have to just stick to your own collection, thanks to the internet you can watch movies online. Free movies streaming makes it easier than ever to find a film you like. You can find one to suit your mood in the comfort of your own home. Just don’t forget the snacks.

3. Get Physical

Nothing gets the endorphins (happy hormones) flowing like a good workout. Business people like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Oprah Winfrey all start their day with a workout. Some people love the gym but others prefer classes, golf, tennis, team sports like football or even martial arts. To get the most out of winding down with the sport, choose an activity that you enjoy.

4. Spend Some Time Outside

Even if you don’t have acres of land, there is no reason why you can’t spend some time in nature. Take a stroll to your local park or nature reserve, go to the beach or take a hike in the mountains or woods. Spending time in the great outdoors can help you appreciate the world around you and forget your worries. You don’t have to climb mountains if you don’t want to, you can take it at your own pace. You might even spot some wildlife along the way.

5. Do Something Artistic

Creativity comes naturally to us as children. We love making and drawing and painting but as we get older many of us leave it behind. Restoring old furniture, painting or making cards or bespoke presents is a great way to get rid of stress, wind down and get lost in your creativity.

You Have To Unwind Your Own Way

Some people like to watch a film others prefer something more active. The important thing is to find something you enjoy and that will truly help you forget about work for a little while.
