We write a lot about the importance of getting creative with your marketing, regardless of what you are selling. Most of the time the eye-catching marketing approaches that people implement (whether it’s online or offline), is what sets them apart from the competition. This marketing approach was a last resort by a Chinese real estate company to attract buyers to their homes and apartments. They had the apartment floor plans body painted on the backs of pretty girls.
These girls, and the apartment floor plans painted on their backs, were apparently the center of attention at the 55th Housing Fair in the Nantong Sports Exhibition Center in Nantong, China. It was all about creating a buzz, and it worked. If people liked what they saw on the backs of the girls, they would of course inquire about the apartment homes. That would lead to a conversation about price, etc. Before you know it, this body painting marketing idea was helping to sell the apartment homes.
What a simple idea, yet it’s full of creativity. I wonder how many girls walked around with apartment floor plans painted on their backs, and how long it took to paint each one. Regardless, it’s a great example of girl power! Whoever came up with this was spot-on with his or her idea. So the next time you want to try a new marketing approach, just remember, it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money or be a huge, dramatic undertaking. It just has to be creative enough to capture the attention of a lot of people. It might sound easier said than done, but after looking at this body painting, it seems like anything is possible with the right idea.
