What is it with geeks and home decor? Have you ever noticed that geeks are very particular with how they like to style their living and working spaces? We’ve featured dozens of Lego, Nintendo and geeky retro style decor on Bit Rebels. Each design seems to be more detailed, time-consuming and fantastic than the ones before. It just keeps getting better and better, and since nothing is too good for a geek, I’m all for it.
I’ll never forget this guy who built himself an entire Star Trek themed bachelor pad. He may not have a girlfriend, but he sure has a one-of-a-kind geektastic apartment, that’s for sure. Today we are featuring a bedroom design for geeks who love pirates.
This pirate bedroom was designed by Steve Kuhl for a very special 6 year old geek-in-training. The young boy had a choice between a bedroom designed as a space ship, race car, castle or pirate ship. I would have picked this one too! I love everything about the room, especially the spiral slide. I would have given anything to have something like this when I was a kid! The best part about this is that I bet he can have hours of fun in his bedroom without even turning on the television or the Wii. You can read an interview with Steve about how he went about creating this on My Modern Met.
