I don’t even have a cat, and I want one of these cat tunnel sofas. Is that bad? Think of all the things you stuff up in there. If your kid misbehaves, “You know your punishment little Jimmy. You have to stay in the tunnel for 15 minutes.” I wonder what would happen if you stuff your kid and your cat in that thing. I digress. The cushions on this couch are thick, plush and cozy looking, which is probably why I want one. This couch was created as a way for cat lovers to bond with their cats.
Now both cats and their owners can get comfortable on the sofa in the way they like best. The human can sit on it and the cat can prance through it. The cat part of the cat tunnel sofa serves a double purpose since it is also an armrest for people sitting on the couch. It’s the best of both worlds, and sure to bring happiness to both the human and his master (the cat).
The cat tunnel sofa was designed by Korean designer Seungji Mun. His goal was to create a piece of furniture where people and cats could coexist in comfort for both. You can see some of the pictures from the design phase below. I don’t think this is actually available for sale anywhere, but you can contact Seungji through his website if you want one of these for yourself. I’m sure you can work something out. I wonder if he will ever consider making a dog sofa. I have two sofas in my living room – one that the dogs are allowed to jump on and one that they are not allowed to get on. It would be nice to somehow combine those into one. This cat tunnel sofa is such a great idea!
