Does anyone really use toothpicks anymore? I remember seeing my father walk around with a toothpick sticking out of his mouth after almost every meal. I use dental floss everyday, but I can’t imagine poking my teeth with a little wooden stick.
Stan Murno, in my opinion, has come up with a much better and more creative use for toothpicks. He spent six years, 170 liters of glue and 6 million toothpicks to create a mind-blowing collection of landmarks from all over the world.
Stan works on these toothpick buildings full time, and he’s trying to represent every major religion and country if possible. He hopes his multinational cityscape will earn him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. When asked which of his buildings was his favorite, he said the “Little White Chapel in Las Vegas” because that is where he married his beautiful wife. Aww, Stan, you are a sweetheart and we hope you are recognized for the world record! You have incredible talent and patience.
