Halloween Fun: The “Predator” Pumpkin Carving

Last Halloween season I wrote an article about how to make an extreme pumpkin carving. I remember what I was thinking when I wrote that. My original plan was to include a picture of my own extreme pumpkin carving, but my pumpkin didn’t turn out quite like I planned.

This year, I am going to try again. I plan to buy a few extra pumpkins so if I make a mistake I can start over. I am determined to learn how to create a fabulous pumpkin carving!

Toy sculptor Ray Vallafane certainly knows how to carve a mean pumpkin! His “Predator” carving below is one of my all time favorites. The detail in all of these is incredible! He has a fabulous website which includes a detailed tutorial if you’d like to give this a shot yourself. My goal is to carve an Elvira pumpkin this year; we’ll see how it goes. I already have the long black wig ready to put on my pumpkin’s head. How about you? What would you like to carve into a pumpkin this year?
