Hand Carved Skateboards | Next Generation Cool?

Skating is a lifestyle and a culture in itself really. Gear, wares and stuff to wear are just some of the things that will pimp you out as a skater. Baggie jeans and a cool printed t-shirt and a badass attitude will take you half way to becoming a skater really. Then there is, of course, the matter of being able to skate well. If you’re bad, you’re not in with the cool kids on the block. If your skateboard isn’t up to par with the designs, then you’re off the team or won’t get as much attention as some of the other skaters get.

Then we have an entirely new chapter of the religion of being a skater, the hand carved skateboards. Yup, you heard it right. These are skateboards that have been carefully and meticulously carved with details worthy of putting on display. Take one of these bad boys out for a run and I promise you that you will get attention… a LOT of attention.

However, I think it won’t be the kind of attention you are seeking because you will probably go falling on your butt faster than you get back up on the “duck” again. And if you will be able to hang on for just a minute, I am sure it is too heavy to let you perform any kind of tricks on it, but then again, I could be wrong.

Oh, and if you’re wondering (which you are probably not), I have been a skater for a brief period of time in my life. I never did the 360’s, flips or Ollie’s but at least I tried it and quite hard as well. I was more of an athlete and focused more on that instead of involving a lot of props into it.
