There is just something about finger art that is so much fun to me. Most kids draw on their hands and fingers when they’re young, but I still do it today. I just never really got over that. Several months ago I had the best time writing The Best Finger Drawings You’ve Ever Seen. It gave me all kinds of new ideas when it comes to drawing on my fingers. If you want to try it, I recommend using a ballpoint pen since it washes off easily in the shower. I used a Sharpie once, and I had to wear that doodle on my finger for a week.
Today I’d like to share with you a collection of finger art called Hero Fingers. It’s a very simple and happy series of pictures with fingers playing the role of the superhero. These were created by Julian Wolkenstein and Tamara Maynes. Julian used to be a food photographer, and as you can see, he’s no stranger to taking great photographs.
Although these pictures are very well done, the little costumes are even better. Tamara created the costumes. I think she used just the right amount of detail to make them interesting yet keep them simple. It is neat how they chose to not use a pen or any drawings on the fingers to convey the message; it was all done with these humorous little costumes. I bet these were a lot of fun to make. According to Julian’s website, there is more to this story. Hmm… I want to know what it is! You can learn more about these artists on their websites.
