Insane 8-Bit Character Compilation From Our Favorite Cult Movies

It’s never easy to have great expectations when it comes to reboots and sequels to movies that we’ve loved for a long time. It’s like trying to justify a dessert when you are still eating a delicious meal. It’s just not right, and it surely isn’t very timely. However, there have been several examples of movies that have actually delivered more than what was expected. It’s usually a rule that sequels won’t be able to match the previous movie’s grandeur and awesomeness. You simply can’t build a second house on an already maxed out skyscraper without it looking funky and coming across unmotivated. Do you know what I mean?

We instead want to remember the cult movies like pinnacles of our youth, and we often call them retro. The retro in this article is of course based on movies that were released sometime during the ’80s and the ’90s. Yeah, there are a few others in there as well that might have migrated north of these releases, but they are all movies that most of us will remember for the remainder of our lives. As a matter of fact, they have been pixelized into fine posters of pixelated characters.

They’re created by the very talented designer and illustrator Fitz Fitzpatrick. It’s an epic collection of characters that span from Back to The Future and Aliens to Indiana Jones and Star Wars. There are so many characters in there that it’s easy to get a little bit lost in all the awesomeness. However, every single one will trigger some kind of memory from your life or from the movies themselves, if you have seen them that is. Now the question really is, do you know them all? Can you name them all without cheating?
