Ultra Realistic Oil Paintings That Will Shatter Your Reality

It has long been in the interest of the game studios around the world to create the most realistic looking graphics engine for their team to make games on. It’s a tough and algorithm driven (not to mention CPU driven) endeavor, and to create the very best one you always have to stay ahead of the game. But when it comes to artists, especially the ones using paints and brushes, creating realistic looking artwork has been an almost impossible undertaking if you want to have a fast turnaround on your artwork. Not only is it immensely time consuming, but it also requires some master skills in order to get the ultimate result.

One such artist who has seemingly all those qualities is Steve Mills. He’s an oil painter who has been able to create something that I am sure most people never thought was even possible. When looking at his paintings, it will immediately strike you that they could be photographs as well. However, if you look long and closely you will find small details that tell of another story. It’s one that will clear all doubts that these are actually oil paintings you are looking at.

I wrote an article not too long ago about another artist who caught the visuals of life by painting, but I must admit that these are just a tad better. The lighting, reflections, refractions and textures are perfectly portrayed, and Steve must certainly have perfect vision it seems. Real life has never, at least to my knowledge, been captured in such vivid and realistic looking format by an oil painter. My mouth just dropped to the floor, and I am sure when you are done looking through these, you will want to begin at the top for another rundown to process this insanely cool and realistic artwork.
