If I could draw worth a flip, I think it would be so much fun to be a story artist. Not little kids stories, but I’m thinking more like fun adult stuff. My favorite story artist at the moment is Josh Cooley. He works for Pixar Animation, and he’s got so much talent it makes me drool.
For the past two years, he’s been working on a book compiled of his movie art. Modeled after the Golden Books for children, his collection is called, “Inappropriate Golden Books” since they are based on classic rated R movies.
When I was very young, my mother and I would go to the supermarket every Friday. After I helped her shop, she would always buy me a Golden Book. I cherish that childhood memory, which makes Josh’s collection of artwork even more special to me.
