Over time, he joined a band and released his solo EP titled “Three Little Words.” Alongside this musical journey, he took on essential roles in productions like “Under The Banner of Heaven,” “The Sacrifice Game,” and “Hudson & Rex.” During this period, Laurent also engaged in extensive mentorship with up-and-coming actors and filmmakers.

Combining his musical experiences with insights from coaching, this equipped him to embody his character, Marty, the protagonist’s former bandmate, the town’s music store owner, and a pillar in the community

Marty Taylor embodies the ideal teacher, mentoring Dallas Smith’s main character, who is on a quest for forgiveness after leaving his hometown band, friends, and family in pursuit of the fleeting allure of solo fame.

Collaborating with a genuine rockstar was intimidating; according to director Joel Stewart, much depended on Laurent’s ability to guide Dallas through his acting journey, as this film represented Dallas’s first role in cinema.

However, Laurent felt a bond reminiscent of Bradley Cooper in “A Star is Born,” as Dallas, much like Lady Gaga, was able to engage profoundly and explore the essence of humanity in every moment from the very first scene with Laurent.

In this role, Laurent had the chance to hone his leadership skills, giving his all every day while building connections with each cast and crew member. He nurtured an atmosphere filled with passion, purpose, and teamwork. With the strong support of Joel Stewart, Laurent was empowered to take the lead in the process, engaging in improvisation, collaboration, and thoroughly enjoying the storytelling process.

On his final day, he shed tears of joy over the strong bonds and friendships formed throughout the project. Together, they crafted an outstanding film centered on redemption and friendship, creating lasting connections. It can be confidently said that they have become a close-knit family, eagerly anticipating the moment their movie will be showcased on screens, both large and small.

Laurent believes that actors possess an innate talent that is awakened by specific life experiences. His awakening occurred during his teenage years. While he excelled in school productions and entertained dreams of becoming a paleontologist like in “Jurassic Park” or an astronaut like in “Apollo 13,” witnessing his cousin perform in an acting workshop showcase revealed his true passion.

From that pivotal moment, Laurent committed himself to acting, engaging in every school performance, securing his initial roles, and enrolling in a local acting conservatory. Laurent Pitre’s journey illustrates his deep passion, perseverance, and the impactful nature of storytelling.

His performances continue to resonate with and inspire audiences globally, with his portrayal of Marty Taylor in “Soul’s Road” being a significant milestone in his distinguished career.
