One could debate for eons about who is the most successful artist ever to walk this earth. Some say Elvis Presley while others say Michael jackson. Some say The Beatles are, but then you have that weird category dilemma where The Beatles were a group and so forth. How do you measure it, really? I mean, it’s easy to figure that out with how many albums they have sold or how many number one’s they have had.
But the thing is, you can’t really tell how successful they are by how many people know about them since it’s impossible to count that. Some say Michael Jackson is the world’s most photographed human ever to exist. The list can become endless just trying to figure this out. But either way, that shouldn’t stop us from celebrating their birthdays in just the same spirit as they gave us their music.
Yes, that’s right! If you haven’t figured it out by now, it’s Elvis Presley’s birthday today and he would have turned 76 today if he was still alive. Elvis sure gave us his everything to make our lives full of joy and music. Some of his songs will live on forever if nothing happens to the earth that renders us all extinct or something. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, there are always new recordings of his songs, and they always work.
However, then there is that odd factor that every mega artist has. That little thing that makes their whole professional, perfect and undisputed chart history become a little less star-studded if you know what I mean. We all know Elvis is by far one of the world’s greatest artists, but let’s celebrate his birthday with his probably least successful song, “Yoga Is As Yoga Does.” #TrueGeekiness!
