There’s no question that different alcoholic drinks are more popular than others at different social events. For example, at a wedding it might be appropriate to drink a glass of white wine, at a cookout in the summertime it might be more appropriate to drink a Bud Light, and at a birthday party it might be appropriate to down a few Jello shots. I can’t imagine any event where Jagermeister would be appropriate, or maybe it’s just my college party memories that are clouding my judgment on that one.
I’m definitely a beer girl. I don’t really like any other kind of alcohol. Unfortunately for me, I gave up beer for Lent. That means six Friday nights without a cold one to celebrate the end of each successful week. When Lent is over though, if I could choose any beer, I’d definitely want to try this 8-bit pale ale.
What could be more appropriate to drink on a night spent playing retro video games? This beer is made by Tallgrass Brewing Co. and according to the website, “Just like those classic video games we all grew up with, 8-Bit Pale Ale is spectacularly simple at first glance yet remarkably fun and complex when you get into it.” That description sounds delicious to me. It’s made with Australian grown Galaxy Hops, whatever those are. It apparently smells like melons. Regardless of what this beer tastes like, Tallgrass gets an A+ for the packaging. Dang, I want to try this now!
