This Will Keep You Busy At Work: Fold A Millennium Falcon Origami Ship

People who are good at origami are like magicians to me. I’ve made a couple basic origami designs, but for the most part, I usually finish with a crumpled up piece of paper. It’s definitely a skill that takes patience, determination and a little luck. Maybe what we need is just an illustrated tutorial to help us along, and that’s what I’d like to share with you today. This chart will help you make a Millennium Falcon origami ship.

Out of all the origami I’ve seen, one of my favorites is the Star Wars & Star Trek Dollar Bill Origami. It’s pretty fantastic what a dollar bill can be folded into. If you click over on that link, you’ll see an origami Millennium Falcon. Ever since I saw those designs a few years ago, I’ve thought it would be neat to know how to make a Millennium Falcon origami ship. If you’ve wanted to do that too, now is your chance.

This little tutorial called Fold An Origami Millennium Falcon was originally printed in Wired Magazine back in January of 2008. I’m sure it’s made its way around the Internet a few times by now, and it certainly deserves a place here on Bit Rebels too. I tried to track it back to the original creator, whom I think is Philip Schulz.

If you are sitting there at work right now, bored, and waiting for the clock to tick faster, this could be just what you need to put a smile on your face this afternoon. All you need to do is get a piece of paper out of the printer, cut it so it’s a square, and follow this chart. If you are successful at this, you might want to graduate to the next level of origami, which would be creating something like what’s in this Origami Pikachu Tutorial. Good luck!
