Food Play: An Epic Playable Angry Birds Birthday Cake

How do you impress your kids these days?  I mean, not that I am much for spoiling just for the heck of it, but in a day and age when kids pretty much have everything they wish for, what can you do to make their one day of the year so much more special than it already is?  Well, it turns out there is a lot you can do.  And, if you thought that Angry Birds wouldn’t have anything to do with it, I can tell you that you’re wrong.  As it stands, Angry Birds has pretty much everything to do with it.  So much so, as a matter of fact, that if you came up with this idea first, you would have been able to walk around with the title “World’s Best Mom or Dad!”  However, if you’re not the creator (Mike Cooper over at Electric Pig actually is) of this awesome bakery item, then I can just say sorry, the title is already taken.

So how about a playable Angry Birds birthday cake?  Yup, that’s correct.  It’s fully fit with a slingshot, building elements and of course the birds and the pigs.  It’s all made in graciously shaped and detailed edible marzipan.  Just bust out whatever bird you want to shoot and fire away.  The carnage is yours to create!

If this isn’t the perfect birthday cake then you can throw it in my face if you want because inviting friends over for your birthday party is not just about sharing the cake anymore, it’s a battle for your piece that’s at stake.  So fill out those invitations, get your mom or dad to make or buy an Angry Birds birthday cake and have a blast.  The war never stops and this birthday cake is surely proof of that!
