Giant R2-D2: Best College Observatory Prank Ever

I sometimes miss those days in school when we could pull epic pranks on our classmates or teachers and actually get away with it. Nowadays, there are always repercussions to our actions, and even though we humbly point out that it was just for fun, we can always expect there to be retaliation. Then again, that’s a bit of the thrill I guess, to get a good prank war going. I remember pranking our teacher together with a couple of friends, and it was beyond obvious that what we had done was a prank and a pretty harmless as well. When the teacher asked us who had done it, we of course confessed.

However, he was pulling a joke on us as well, upon where I blurred out “pig” while I laughed. Our teacher then took it to the next level by actually writing a note to my mom highlighting that I had said what I said. The retaliation and the last laugh I guess was on him. So much for being honest, right? It’s the epic jokes and pranks that go down in history, and there are a lot of them out there. The best one I was quietly a part of was when I graduated from college. Someone in another class had a father who drove a crane, and he was quick to get it to school that morning. They actually put the principal’s car on the roof of the school. The laughs still echo today, and you had to see the expression on our principal’s face when it dawned on him that it was his car launched onto the roof.

Students at Minnesota’s Carleton College decided to pull an epic joke, and they decided to dress up their observatory. The result was as epic as they come. What people could see when the sun finally dawned was a gigantic R2-D2 incarnation standing where the old observatory previously was. Of course, it was just dressed up; however, it was insanely well done and the whole thing is sure to become a legend in the city. I mean, you don’t have to be a Star Wars fan to know how epic this prank really is. If all pranks were this harmless and awesome, I certainly see no reason why students shouldn’t be allowed to have some fun. What’s the most insane prank you guys have done? Share it with us!
