LEGO watches for kids are nothing new, but next month, LEGO is releasing a collection of watches for adults, and they look fantastic. The collection is called the Lego Watch System, and aside from the fact that they’re mostly made out of plastic, they pass the geed cred test. They will be available for men and women, and I put a small sampling of photos below so you can see what they look like. The neat thing is, these watches have swappable parts (like the kids’ watches).
Most of these LEGO watches come in white, blue, yellow or black. However, there will be a few styles in pink (#want), orange or red. You will also have the option to choose a digital or analog style. With all the smartwatches on the market today, there is something refreshing about these watches. They are just so simple and geeky, and they provide an instant jolt of childhood nostalgia.
I’m really happy to see that LEGO kept the lines smooth and made them old school style. It would have been so easy for them to incorporate some high tech features since that’s the watch trend lately, but they kept true to the style that has kept them successful since 1949.
If you want to read more about these, you can click over to A Blog To Watch. When they become available, you’ll be able to purchase them on the LEGO watches website for your country. If you are in the States, that would be at LEGO Watches. If you are in another country, you can click on the United States link, and it will detect your country and direct you to the correct site. Now the only question is, which one will I choose? Nah…I would definitely choose the pink one. After all, pink is my signature color.
