MaCool Is Your 8-Bit Beverage Cooler Based On A Retro Macintosh

How do you geek out? What are you looking for when trying to make your life just a little bit more geeky? A lot of people go back to their roots and pull out something retro, something that will take them back to an earlier time – something that can preserve the true geek in themselves. If you’re a true geek, you probably have a lot of geeky things at home. The MaCool is something that I think most people could only dream of being able to use in their daily lives.

So what is the MaCool? Well, if you are a geek, and if you are looking for the most geeky way to cool your beer or sodas (or any other kind of beverages) then you should definitely keep reading. The MaCool is actually a project started by Scott Stefan from Fort Pierce in Florida. It’s a geeky beverage cooler designed around the retro look of a retro Macintosh. Not only will you be able to buy this badboy once it’s finalized, but you will also be able to show off your awesomeness and geekiness when taking it to a barbecue or the beach.

It’s a project in development and the founder, Scott Stefan, is actually looking to crowdsource it through Kickstarter. In order to finish up the project and also to be able to mass produce it in a quantity that would make it profitable, Scott needs to raise $65,000 within 10 days. So far the project has only been able to raise north of $2,500. It’s a little too little to get your hopes up that the funding race is going to be a successful one.

But, as always, it’s not over until the fat lady sings. If you really want a retro MaCool cooler then don’t hesitate to pledge and spread the word about it in order to get other people to pledge as well. That way, you will make sure that the project is successful and you will receive your own MaCool when, and of course if, the funding is successful. There can never be too much geek in a geek’s life, right?
