Gigantic Shopping Cart Mod With A 350hp Chevy Engine Is A Sweet Ride

There hasn’t been much innovation in the world of shopping carts over the past few decades. They look the same now as they did when I was a kid. You’d think by now they would have hand grips, a heater and air conditioner to keep us comfortable while shopping and a braking system for when they start going too fast in the parking lot. But, they don’t. For the most part, they are boring. This one is different though. This is a shopping cart with a build in Chevy engine.

This massive shopping cart mod is 12 feet long (3.7 meters) and 9 feet tall (2.7 meters). It’s definitely a shopping badass, and it took Brent Musser 2 years and several thousands of dollars to build. It has a 350hp Chevy engine incorporated into it, and it can boogey like no shopping cart you’ve ever seen before. Just to give you an idea of the size, about 12 standard sized shopping carts can fit inside this one.

This is one shopping cart that I would love to get in and drive. I like how he left the Chevy engine exposed in all its glory. Believe it or not, this is not the only massive shopping cart mod in the world. I put some pictures of others that I found below too. Imagine what it would be like to see this huge shopping cart with an engine barreling down the highway. It would be even funnier if there were bags of groceries on the inside. I wonder if it comes with a seat belt.

If you want to see another creative way to turn a shopping cart into an abomination, check out this old shopping cart modded into a relaxing lawn chair at Relaxation Shopping. It doesn’t look like a very comfortable chair to sit on, but it’s still a great way to reuse old, broken shopping carts.
