Solid Gold C-3PO & Sterling Silver R2-D2 Anniversary Figurines

Time goes by so fast, and before you know it, you will have memories from a time which you thought were never going to become the past. A day can turn into a week and a week to a month in a way that will almost scare the socks off your feet. An interesting thought though is that if you keep thinking about it, time will seemingly travel faster. I think I am not alone when I say that we can all remember the first time we ever saw the first Star Wars movie. It’s a memory that I am sure will always stay fond to you, and it will most likely become fresh every time Lucasfilm decides it’s time for another re-release, edition or reboot. It so happens that Star Wars celebrates its 35th anniversary of the very first Star Wars movie soon, and that of course has to be commemorated. I don’t know if Lucasfilm commissioned this or if it’s yet another “under the table” black market item, but a company in Japan, Imperial Enterprises Inc., created the ultimate celebratory figurines of the most memorable characters in the Star Wars galaxy, R2-D2 and C-3PO. They are not just ordinary figurines either. C-3PO stand 3.94″ above the ground and R2-D2 stands 1.41,” but there is something about these that will have you drool.

C-3PO is made out of solid gold while R2-D2 is made out of pure Sterling silver. They are available now if you are interested, but be sure you’ll have to empty that wallet of yours since they are quite expensive. C-3PO will set you back a cool $6,000 while R2-D2 will push your budget to about $1,800. No doubt will these figurines become hot collector’s items once they are out of stock, so you better hurry if you have a few bucks left over after paying your bills. These have to be the ultimate collector’s dream items, right? The only thing is, where would you put them? I mean, if you were to have your home burglarized, you wouldn’t be able to live with yourself I am sure.
