The Visual History Of Coca Cola: One Image Says It All!

The world’s most famous beverage by name is definitely Coca Cola. I remember watching a TEDx speech by Linda Gates (Bill Gates’ wife) who said there are small villages in Africa that don’t even have water, but Coca Cola trucks deliver their beverage to these villages once a week. I even heard that a new building in New York was going to incorporate a tap in their apartments with a pipeline directly dispensing the Coca Cola beverage. It’s insane really how influential this sugared water is when you think about it. Mega stars have been standing by it since God knows when, and by the looks of it, the spreading of the name is not going to stop anytime soon.

It’s a dangerously tasty beverage though when it comes to addiction. I know a lot of people, including myself, who have been addicted to it on a high level. The only thing that it’s good for is your energy. The caffeine and the sugar sparks some well needed energy from time to time, but the rest of it, not really good for you at all. Nevertheless, the beverage is the most advertised and definitely the most sold beverage of them all.

The history of Coca Cola seems to be quite jumbled by myths and facts, and in order to retell the whole story the right way, I guess we would have to go right to the source, the Coca Cola Company itself. However, to explain the shape of the beverage, there is only one picture needed. It’s one of those images that says a million words instead of printing them in text. The shape of the bottle means everything! It’s all about beauty and desire. I don’t think any other beverage has the same beauty when it comes to its packaging. If there is one, we would very much like to know about it. Do you know of any bottled beverage whose bottle would beat the retro Coca Cola beauty? (Yes, there are two images but the bottom one I only included to illustrate the year when they were introduced.)
