Time For Tea: The History & Customs Of High Tea [Infographic]

Everyone who knows me knows that I am a huge tea drinker. A lot of you know that from my tweeting, and I think I have about 10-15 cups of tea a day. Of course, sometimes it’s less and sometimes it’s more depending on the amount of work I have to get done. It’s become an addiction to always have a cup of tea in front of me when I’m working, and I guess it’s somewhat like when a smoker is fiddling with his or her fingers when there isn’t a cigarette in it. The way the aroma from the tea fills the room when I am just about to start working sparks my inspiration, and from there the steps to actually doing some heavy work aren’t far behind.

As with everything, there are a ton of different things you could know about tea and the customs behind it. I wouldn’t say I am a hardcore tea drinker from a technical perspective since I am sure that many of these customs aren’t really in my knowledge bank at the moment (I plan on fully remember this thing though). For some people, drinking tea is an art and they are quick to tell people about it. They will also tell you what you do wrong as well as what you do right and everything in between when it comes to drinking tea.

The people over at Confused.com put together this AWESOME infographic called Time For Tea: The History And Customs Of High Tea. This is something that I could easily frame and put up in the office kitchen because this is knowledge that I know I will treasure for life. Tea is actually good in a lot of ways, and I would like to take the experience of drinking tea to whatever higher level I can. Have a look at this if you are a hardcore tea drinker, and you will find that you will learn a thing or two. Also, if you are not a tea drinker, maybe this could be a starter for you. Tea is filled with the good stuff, and it even energizes you, somewhat like coffee does. Tea for all!
