Unearthly Avengers Props All Created Out Of Lego

I just checked out the statistics for the Avengers movie, and if it follows its current pattern of success, it could very well pass the $600 million mark this weekend. The movie has been out for 9 days already in 12 other territories, and now that it premieres in the U.S., China and Russia this weekend, it could totally break a bunch of records. Depending on the outcome of the premiere in the U.S., it could become the fastest grossing superhero movie of all time. There are already videos on YouTube that outline the most thrilling 3D moments in the movie, and the franchise has already had its share of creative hype on the Internet.

With the movie rapidly becoming the most hyped topic on pretty much every social networking and news site, there is of course a lot to share. I recently stumbled over some rather extraordinary Lego builds that draw all their inspiration from the props of the Avengers themselves. The creator of these awesome builds is buriedbybricks (Ken Robichaud), and they are all epic in their own way. I am sure there will be more creativity drawn from these builds, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we soon see paper origami Avengers creations as well.

Each of these props is carefully assembled to mimic the look and feel of each of the Avenger’s weapons and accessories. It’s Lego building in its geekiest way, and even though the images might not be up to par with the gripping 3D experience that we will be accustomed to after watching the movie, they are still geeky enough to portray the props in their somewhat natural environment. We just have to realize there is nothing Lego can’t mimic. It’s just fact!
