Whoa! A Saturn V Rocket Created With 120,000 Lego Bricks

When I look at this Lego build, the only word that comes to my mind is WTF. Wait, is WTF a word? I guess it’s three words, but that’s not the point. The point is that this thing is ridiculously insane in every possible way. Obviously creating Lego builds with over 100,000 bricks is becoming more and more popular. We’ve probably featured at least a dozen builds around that size here on Bit Rebels, and this one is as impressive as the rest.

Let me just give you a few stats on this badboy. It’s the largest Lego build in Australia, it’s made with 120,000 bricks, it’s 5.76 meters tall (almost 19 feet), it took 250 hours to build, and it’s the first ever recorded minifig-scale Saturn V rocket (with gantry).

This was created by Ryan McNaught (TheBrickMan), who is a Lego certified professional. I wonder if that title means he gets to play with Lego bricks all day long for his job. Hey, I want to be that when I grow up. What a cool job that must be! I love the little liquid fuel tanks and the NASA Astrovan in these images. This is on display right now at the Melbourne Town Hall. Click over to Ryan’s flickr to see many more pictures. Wow!
