Wooden XBox: When Playing The Real Console Is Not Enough

As gamers, we all know that when we finish a game, it feels a little like we have used up all the fun that the money we spent bought us. It’s an uneasy feeling that will linger until you get a new game that you just couldn’t keep yourself from buying. It’s not that it’s a bad thing to finish a game, but it’s somewhat like putting money into the parking meter. When it runs out, you always feel a little cheated. Why that is I have no idea. I guess it’s just the fact that you didn’t really get anything physical for the money, you just spent it on a good time playing the game. There is little left to show for the money you spent more than to play the game again and again. So what can you do when you are frustrated within your heart and the money is out of your wallet?

Well, you can always take the Ben Winfield approach and carve yourself a new game or a whole new console. The wooden XBox console, complete with controllers and all, is about the geekiest idea I have seen in a long time. You can just feel the frustration by looking at it really.

With a little bit of ingenuity, you can probably convert this wooden XBox into a real working one as well. Just gut your old boring plastic XBox and put it all into this awesome wooden XBox sculpture, and you should be ready to rock n’ roll. Just be sure not to have it on too long. Wood burns, and it would be a shame if it went up in smoke before you finished all of those awesome wooden games of yours. #JustSaying
