10 Scientific Ways To Become Happier [Chart]

Just the other day we featured an infographic about a study that found a link between happiness and productivity. The researchers found that we can get more done by being happier at work than we can from working harder. You can read about it at Work Happier Not Harder. I agree with that, but the methods they suggested in that infographic for bringing more happiness into our daily lives were completely lame.

I mean, who is going to actually take the time at the end of each day to write down three good things that happened and why those three things are worth feeling good about? Like I said – lame. I decided to go on a hunt to find some real ways to bring more happiness into our lives. When I say ‘real ways,’ I mean scientifically proven ways that actually activate more happiness in our bodies. If certain things are linked to depression then it would seem logical that certain things are linked to happiness.

Come to find out, there are a lot of scientifically proven ways to get happier. One of them is to eat more read meat, which sounds great to me. If you would like to read a list of things you can do to get happier, plus all the science behind each one, you can click over to this article on Business Insider or this article on Lifehacker.

Another option is to just look at this simple chart below called 10 Scientific Ways To Be Happy (by Funders and Founders). The science behind each one is not listed on this chart since that would obviously make it too long, but you can click over on the Business Insider or Lifehacker links above for that info.

The bottom line is, being happier will not only help you to be more productive during the day, but it can also help you to live a longer life. It’s one of the fundamental cornerstones of being fulfilled during the short time we spend her on earth. Hopefully this chart will put a smile on your face and a pep in your step.
